Peace Out Summer

Oh summer. Say it isn’t so. Won’t you stay a while longer?

It’s time for our annual summer break up.

Anyone else feeling mixed emotions as summer has come to a close?

I sure will miss cannon balling off the end of a hot deck into the cool refreshing lake, and salty waves crashing and tossing us around.

But none the less, I cannot wait to step on that first crunchy leaf and dust off my favorite lucky sweater.

Although summer is quickly losing steam (no pun intended for those of us south of the Mason Dixion), we don’t have to loose steam when it comes to caring for our waters.

One of our partners, Catawba Riverkeepers, is hosting a HUGE Riversweep Saturday October 3, 2020.

We are excited to be hosting our first ever site on Mountain Island Lake at the River bend Access.

The Riversweep is the largest water clean up in the south east and has been an annual event for the last 17 years.

You can become an official Riverkeeper by helping clean up the waters where you live, work, and play!

Come hang out with us, get a free bracelet (when you are one of the first 30 to register for our site), and do some good.

So as summer leaves us yet again, let’s pick up what others have left behind to make our waters more beautiful for next year!
